DIRECTOR/WRITER
Hollie has always been a writer, her best subject throughout schooling. She started as a child writing short stories, and added songwriting by the time she was 14. Her original songs were a part of her repertoire when she performed as a pro musician for 20+ years. He originals have been covered by other bands and one of her songs placed 7th in a National Nashville Song Writing Contest. Her first large writing endeavor was her full length memoir, I'm NOT a Groupie, I'm IN the Band! The Real Life Adventures of a Female Musician. After having been an actress in film work, it was a natural progression to add screenplays, and becoming a film writer/director/producer and more, here are her personal film projects below.
GABBY'S WISH - Writer/Director/Producer
Gabby's Wish (2012) Hollie Olson wrote this screenplay after losing her brother, Jim Olson, unexpectedly last November 2010. Writing has always been a "therapy" for Hollie and the story stemmed from realizing how much her family had became distant. Although an industry professional in acting, writing and directing, gearing up for a feature seemed overwhelming and really doing it seemed far out of reach. However, after a simple table read, where actors are invited to read each of the characters out loud, the film breathed life rather quickly. From positive reviews to offers to help from the local film industry, anyone who read the story wanted to step in and be a part of it. The feature gained ground quickly and investors stepped in allowing a full scale professional production to take place in July 2011. Along with local talent, Hollie was able to cast Adrienne King from Friday the 13th fame as a lead. THE GRADE - WRITER/DIRECTOR/PRODUCER
The Grade (2010) Hollie wrote a quick demo scene for an actress friend, but this short grew quickly to a finished film. Hollie wore many hats as writer, director, producer as well as sound mixing,foley artist and she wrote and performed the original score and main theme song. The Grade has been accepted to over 10 US and International Festivals. It has been nominated for 3 awards at the upcoming Angeleno Film Festival in Hollywood, CA. They are: BEST SHORT DRAMA, BEST ACTRESS (for Shannon Teem) and BEST REPRE-SENTATION of THEME. Watch the full 9 min short film to the right.

THE SALON- WRITER/DIRECTOR/PRODUCER
The Salon (2010) – this endeavor not only included Hollie writing the script and directing, she was also executive producer, editor, sound editor, foley artist, original music score and original song, and graphic design for packaging and promotional materials. The Salon enjoyed great reviews from the first screening in July 2010 as well as being accepted and shown at THE COLUMBIA GORGE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL Aug 2010 and to 9 other US and International festivals. THE PERFECT MATCH

SIGNS - WRITER/PRODUCER/ACTRESS
SIGNS (pre-production set to shoot 2012) - in this comedy mockumentary Hollie has a principal role and is one of three writers, along with Chris R Wilson, who will also direct and Jonathan Senske who will also have an acting role. This feature film has been cast and will be starting principal photography in May 2012. The film has strong distribution contacts and investment opportunities are still available. CUPID - Co-WRITER/DIRECTOR/PRODUCER/ACTRESS
Cupid (2012) This feature film is produced by A New Vision Films and is still in post production with co-writer/director, Michael Gramza editing. Hollie had the leading role of Valentine, a serial killer with an honest purpose. Once the edit is complete Hollie will be composing and designing the films soundtrack.
